Over two and a half hours, Thriller Live takes the audience from Michael Jackson's work with the Jackson 5 to his first solo album with Quincy Jones - Off The Wall - and onwards and upwards through selected tracks from albums Thriller and Bad. The singers are supported by a team of dancers, but the emphasis is always on the singing.

I went to see the show at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham; a great venue in the centre of the city where the staff are always welcoming. If Thriller Live! is going to endure it needs some serious reinvention. The Alexandra Theatre was less than half full which is never good to see. Despite the controversy that continues to surround Thriller Live at The Alexandra, Birmingham Opening at the Lyric theatre in London’s West End in January 2009, Thriller Live is the 13th longest West End musical of all time; and continues to play to sell out audiences. Thriller Live, differs from other jukebox musicals as there is very little script and no storyline.
