Medicago Medicago polymorpha is a plant of the temperate to subtropical zones, where it can be found at elevations up to 1,900 metres. It grows best in areas where annual daytime temperatures are within the range 15 - 25°c, but can tolerate 4 - 30°c burr medic (Medicago polymorpha) has hairless (i.e. glabrous) stems and leaves.
